Storm Eowyn Barometric Pressure Readings
I set up a little experiment to monitor Storm Éowyn as it passed through the Dublin area. The home weather station transmitted atmospheric pressure data to a web server set up on the micro controller and accessible via my browser. Up until 8:30pm, it was calm outside and a reading of 987hPa was steady for many hours. It then began to drop and shortly thereafter the wind picked up. The chart shows the drop as the storm moved in, heading down to 961hPa in the middle of the night which is unusually low before starting to rise again near dawn. The red line indicates standard atmospheric pressure of 1013hPa for comparison.
